About Wadebridge Male Voice Choir
Wadebridge Male Voice Choir is well known in Cornwall, and you can sometimes hear them on BBC Radio Cornwall, throughout the year and at Christmas. Wadebridge Male Voice Choir is a thriving and busy choir.
Throughout the year the choir help to raise funds for charities, both local and national. Concerts are often booked up to two years in advance.
The choir members come from a wide area of North Cornwall and the Wednesday evening rehearsals in the The Churchill Rooms, Molesworth Street, Wadebridge, are filled with enthusiastic voices practicing hard. The repertoire of the choir is varied and includes many classical and popular pieces as well as spirituals and sacred items.
The choir was formed nearly a hundred years ago, in 1920, at the instigation of Mr Harry Woolcock and is one of the oldest choirs in Cornwall.
It was originally directed by Dr. A. F. Wilson-Gunn and the accompanist was Mrs Elizabeth Fishwick. Our musical director now is Paul Mitchell and our accompanists are Grahame Lee and Gill Gowan.
We don't currently have any future gigs listed for Wadebridge Male Voice Choir.
