BE-POP was released in April 2018, this is the latest CD from Yorkshire - based guitarist Derrick Harris and features his arrangements of seminal pop tunes in a jazzy format.

'Be-Pop' includes songs by The Beach Boys, the Beatles and Paul Simon. Ably accompanied by Jez Platt on hammond organ and piano, Paul Smith on drums and Paul Chamberlain on bass, the well crafted arrangements give these tunes a light, airy and spacious outing with some tasteful soloing which allows the jazz and pop listener to appreciate them afresh. The standout track for me is Norwegian Wood, which seems to have limitless possibilities for rearranging and re-imagining.
