About Carroll Thompson

Award-winning singer/songwriter, composer, playwright and author.

Her self-penned album ‘Hopelessly in Love’ the best selling UK Lovers Rock album, has acheived classic and Iconic status within the music industry.

Carroll has arranged & provided vocals for; Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Sade, Petshop Boys, Natalie Cole, B.B. King, Chaka Khan, M People, Eric Clapton, Art Blakey, Jools Holland, Kylie Minogue, Billy Ocean, Boy George, Annie Lennox, Awad, Maxi Priest and UB40.
She has also composed original film score BBC1&2, C4, Oxford Films, Initial TV, Comedy Central, soundtrack Neil Jordan’sOscar & BAFTA film, ‘The Crying Game'.

Developed & created the first theatre piece the ‘Lovers Rock Monologues’ with lumeries, Victor Romero Evans and Janet Kay, Birmingham Rep, Tricycle Theatre, Royal court.

Her musical achievements are currently being collated by the Jamaican government as part of the UNESCO cultural global heritage initiative for the protection & recognition of Reggae music

The Home Office has just appointed Carroll Thompson the role of Windrush Community Ambassador.

Carroll tours extensively with her own band of all star musicians and continues to collaborate with various creatives writing songs and theatrical pieces.

She remains a talented and eclectic artist.
