ILLINGWORTH are John I Smith and Jolyon Dixon 

John and Jolyon met in Salisbury in 1993 when a mutual friend suggested they collaborate on some recordings at a local studio, and they have been playing music together ever since. 
 Between them they have played, recorded and toured with some of the biggest names in the music industry, on some of the worlds biggest and best known stages, appeared on numerous charting records, written songs and music for TV, produced records for major record labels and designed a programme of educational music for schools, all the while continuing to work together on original songs whenever time permitted. 
They started performing acoustic sets as a way to keep playing together between tours, entertaining audiences with a mix of classic cover versions from the last 6 decades and some of their original material too.
 Their light hearted and energetic sets have proven very popular over the years, and the 27 years of playing music together seems to enable them to play effortlessly as one.
