Salmon City Blues Band Profile Pic

Description

Formed in early 2019 in Horncliffe, Northumberland, the band takes it's name from the days of CB radio when Berwick-Upon-Tweed was known as Salmon City.
The band's current line up is:
Neill Berry - Guitar and Vocals
Lenny Johnson - Drums and Vocals
Wal Wallace - Harmonica and Vocals
Tim Skelton - Bass
Nick Allmark - Guitar and Vocals
and Occasionally:
Mike Rennard - Bass

Playing an eclectic mix of blues, blues rock and rock n roll, including old classics and also some original songs, the band have proved to be incredibly popular and with their dedicated fan club "The Salmonettes" ensure that wherever they play you will be up on your feet and dancing.
The Allmark / Berry composition Salmon City Blues launches their set with a fictional journey to the far North to check out Berwick-Upon-Tweed. Rumbling up the motorway like a runaway juggernaut the band seem unstoppable.

The Barrels Ale House Profile Pic

Description

Original 'Olde Curiousity Shop' ambience experienced on arrival. Backed by excellent real ale that no doubt helps the customers to brave the 'dentist's chair' at side of the bar! Located in old part of Berwick next to original road bridge over the Tweed. Downstairs bar used by DJ's and bands at weekends. Winner of CAMRA pub of the year awards. Unique rear open drinking area surrounded by very high walls.
