Folk Rock
From their roots in Stratford Upon Avon, Richard Elbourne (Wychwood), Crispin Brierley (Zeb Project) and Jon Bird (Daisy Chain Quartet) have teamed up to perform their own original compositions. Inspired by the innovative music from the ’60s (The Beatles, Rolling Stones and The Kinks) and the folk rock of the ’70s (Fairport Convention, Trees) the trio is comprised of two fine singer/songwriter guitarists and a stylish percussionist.
Together, the trio create a strong rhythmic groove, with intermingling guitars, strong lyrics, and expressive, melodic vocals. A must-see band!
The Stratford on Avon Bandstand stands in the heart of the bustling Recreation Ground just across the river from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and just a short stroll from the town.
It is a lovely spot to enjoy a summer's afternoon listening to one of the many excellent bands while watching the boats, swans and people go by.
The bandstand is managed by Stratford Town Trust and its programme of bands runs from May through to September. Most band performances start at 2.30 and run for two hours weather permitting.
