Description

Hilgay Silver Band was founded in 1896. Originally formed by farmers and land workers from the village and
surrounding areas.
The band has improved over the years and has become one of Norfolk's premier bands.
The Silver Band plays a full range of traditional music as well as some of the more well known popular music
of the time and performs throughout the year at a variety of events and venues.

The Hilgay Silver Band perform regularly at events in their local area and are available for bookings throughout
the year.

Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings between 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm in the band's own band room opposite the war memorial in Hilgay.

This friendly brass band based in West Norfolk welcomes new players of all
standards and ages whatever your favoured instrument.
