Live Performance
Brass Band
Bodmin Town Band was formed in 1927. Contest successes saw the Band develop quickly, these achievements were rewarded by being promoted to the Championship Section in 1959, where we remained for 50 years.
We always recognise the need to support local Contests and Associations, having won numerous prizes at the West of England Bandsmen’s Festival and have also held the Cornish Champions title on a number of occasions.
We are also very proud of our amazing record at the South West Brass Band Association Championships, with over twenty victories in the Championship Section.
We are conducted by the very talented Mr John Maines, his vast experience has enabled the band to grow in confidence and together we look forward to continuing the recent successes of the coming years together.
In Jan 2018 we were promoted to the 1st Section, we are having a great year with a successful result at the regional contect and winners of the 1st Sec at the West of England Bandsmans Festival at bugle in June. We look forward to the challenges ahead as we continue to build the Band back up to where it belongs.
We are very fortunate to have sponsorship from Bodmin Jail and we look forward to a close partnership together for many years to come.
