Live Performance
Light Classical
The Bissboro Flute Trio has been together since the year 2000 in a different form although the current members have played together for most of that time and as we originally rehearsed in Trowbridge we named ourselves after the local river, a sort of “Hardyism†as was the practice of Thomas Hardy e.g. Exeborough for Exeter and so on.
We currently play and are available to play in Wiltshire, Bath and the surrounding areas. The whole approach of the Trio is of a very relaxed nature to most things especially the music, as we believe that the best results are achieved that way.
The music we play is quite varied and covers light classical, jazz standards and music specifically written for flutes.
Concerts are held in the bandstand throughout the summer months and children’s entertainment is provided during the summer holidays.
Set in a majestic park at river level over looking the weir and providing the perfect retreat from shopping!
These delightful gardens are Bath’s most centrally situated and popular pleasure grounds, attracting both tourists and residents. Overlooking the River Avon they give fine views of Robert Adams Pulteney Bridge and the weir, especially from the colonnade built early in the last century. The bedding displays are among the finest in the country and the annual 3-dimensional floral feature in the summer is always fun.
Please note. There used to be an admission charge to the park for non B&NES Resident Discovery card holders, this has been waived for 2025.
