Description

We are a friendly and lively brass band in Marple, Stockport and we are currently competing in the 3rd section.

Hawk Green Band has no commercial sponsors and its members work hard throughout the year raising the funds required to run the band. Each year the band represents Marple and Hawk Green at local functions and in contests and provides entertainment at several events which have become an annual fixture.

You can find us at our bandroom located on Station Road in Marple, on the edge of Memorial Park.

Description

Annual carnival in Marple, Stockport, since 1962. Proceeds to local groups/charities.

The parade starts at 1pm from the Recreation Ground, Oldknow Road.
It then heads up Stockport Road.
before turning left into Hibbert Lane.
Then right into Buxton Lane.
Right into Cross Lane.
Right onto Stockport Road.
and back to the Recreation Ground.

Carnival royalty will be crowned at 2:45pm

The theme of the 2022 carnival is Toys and Games – ‘Playtime’
