A friendly, committed 2nd Section band seeking to provide good music and entertainment across the West Midlands!

National Finalist 2016 & 2014.

The Band rehearses once a week at 7.45-9.45 on a Tuesday evening at Stourport Sports Club, Kingsway, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire DY13 8BQ

Promoted to the second section in January 2018, we have risen fast, moving from 4th section to 2nd in quick succession! We have finished in the prizes in the 4th and 3rd section Midlands Area Championships, and were National finalists in 2014 and 2016, with prize winning success at Wychavon, Bolsover and GBBA entertainment contests. We have big plans for the future and aim to keep improving and moving forward as a team under our MD, Oli Wilson.

The band has a very friendly atmosphere and welcome any players of a good standard. We are a social bunch and have social events such as curry nights and BBQs as well as entertaining our concert go-ers!.

Description

The Lido Park is near the old part of the town with the main entrance and car park off the Worcester Road approximately 100m from the end of the High Street.

The park was awarded Green Flag status for the first time in 2011/12 and each and every year since.

As well as the bandstand the park also features...

- Floral bedding displays
- Mature trees and shrubs
- Fishing at Heriott's pool and platforms for disabled fishing
- Feed the ducks at Bishops pool
- Free to use, Hard court tennis courts
- 5 a side court with basket ball nets
- Children's play areas, enclosed and natural open area
- Tree carving, located by the cafe
- Wall mural
- Outdoor Swimming Pool
