Bestwood Black Diamonds

Genre

Live Performance
Brass Band

Description

Based in Bestwood Village, Nottinghamshire.

Formed in 1947 the band was originally known as Bestwood Black Diamonds Colliery Band, named after the bright coal extracted from the mine at Bestwood.

The band is;
- Forward thinking
- Competitive
- Ambitious
- But most of all, friendly

We have taken part in contests both in and around the Midlands and further afar, bringing home good results. For a number of years the band had not contested and so we are justifiably proud of our recent results.

Available for large concerts both inside and out, we are also able to cater for smaller private events such as parties and weddings with a smaller 10-piece ensemble. We also have a Swing Band and individual soloists who can play for you.

The band offers a wide repertoire of music to accommodate all tastes and can boast a history of happy customers including local councils, car enthusiasts clubs, sports clubs, remembrance service organisers and private individuals.
