Live Performance
Blues and Roots
Barney Newman is an exciting country blues and roots songwriter and musician from Oxfordshire who has been touring the UK for 20 years.
Barney’s authentic Guitar, Banjo and vocal style produces an infectious up-tempo sound that has seen him get booked to play many festivals including The New Forest Folk Festival alongside “Show of Hands” and “Pentangle”.
Barney occasionally invites guest musicians, Tom Leary on Violin and Matt Watson on Double Bass, to perform alongside him at events and festivals
17th century Country Inn, situated in the heart of Cropredy, a rural village just 4 miles north of Banbury, Oxfordshire. Originally three cottages, it was converted into a Public House in the late 17th century.
A small cosy bar with wood burning stove, a warm welcome, live music and our ever-so-popular Sunday night quiz.
A selection of fine Ales are on offer, together with a regular change of Guest ales and Super chilled Lager.
Enjoy excellent food and fine wine in colourful comfortable surroundings. Our menus are available in the bar (where dogs are welcome) and the restaurant. We’re known for some great vegetarian dishes (including the best vegetarian breakfast and roast in the County!), are happy to cook special meals for kids, and if we can, will always do our best to cater to special needs. We always have options for gluten and dairy free dietary needs.
Traditional roast lunches are served alongside the normal menu each Sunday Lunchtime.
Contemporary accommodation is available in a converted barn, which is situated at the rear of the building and overlooks the garden.
There are six rooms available. All are with en suite showers, TV and hospitality trays.
