Live Performance
Brass Band
We are an organisation consisting of four brass bands ranging from our Beginner and Junior Bands through to our premier ensemble the Ratby Co-operative Senior Band.
We are proud to have over 100 musicians through our doors each week and welcome new players at all levels of ability.
Our bands perform across the country each year, and compete in regional and national competitions.
Our Senior band currently compete in the Championship Section, the highest level of the national brass band championships.
Senior Band Rehearsals:
Weds 8pm -10pm / Sun 7pm - 9pm
Mid Band Rehearsals:
Monday 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Junior Band Rehearsals:
Tuesday 7pm - 8:30pm
Beginner Band Rehearsals:
Tuesday 6pm - 6:45pm
Play Close is the back garden of St Mary's Church and hosts some of the town's premier events throughout the year, including the Melton Country Fair, the annual hunt meet on New Year’s Day, fairs, circus' and other seasonal events.
There is a Children's Play Area and specialised play equipment suitable for a wheel chair or push chair.
The bandstand is grade II Listed.
This concert will feature the Mid Band.
