Description

The Sandboys were formed in 2009, the name coming from the fact we all come from the Sandfields/ Port Talbot area. Initially a duo Kev and Jeff doing some acoustic sets around Port Talbot.

We met Bob after doing a set in the Craddock Pub who put the idea that we should start a band... We got together and put a lot of the acoustic songs into a set.

Not long after that local drummer Lynn Rees put us in contact with Martin (who's from Ammanford, we weren't going to change the band name for him!), from there we started to put a full set together.

We don't cage the elephant... We do covers! We like to throw a curve ball in there, so its not all typical stuff, we don't like to fall into the same trap as some other cover bands, so we try to pick something a bit different.

We gig all over South Wales; Pubs, Live Music Venues, Beer Festivals, Parties & Weddings. We always give it 100%, go hell for leather, whether its your Mum's 70th or a crowd of 300! Last year we started to write our own material and more will come in 2018.
