The Head Hunters Blues Band play nothing but the best of the blues, with music coming from Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson, Lightnin' Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, BB King and more!
The Blue Bell has been a public house for a long, long time.
The current owners took over in 2013 and have reinvigorated the business with a fresh and ethical approach, though the building and general atmosphere retain the feel of a proper British pub.
The beer garden is an absolute sun trap, (on those days that the sun does shine in North Wales! You'd be surprised....) bordered by 13th century town wall and is a slightly quirky, flowery and green oasis in the middle of town. It even has Conwy Castle views!
Lots of pubs say it, but we actually mean it.....
Our food is prepared and cooked to order onsite from proper, fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Sometimes this means that you may wait a little longer for your meal, especially at busy times but as we say "Good food, not fast food".
We care a lot about people and the environment too, so all of our staff are paid the living wage or above; our electricity is powered only by renewable energy sources (wind, sun and water!); we actively reduce food waste and we repair, reuse or recycle everything we possibly can! And paper straws!
Live music creates the best pub atmosphere every Friday and Saturday night. On Sunday afternoons it's a 'come and join in' sing around / jam session and on Sunday nights it's Open Mic. Monday is Quiz night. The third Wednesday of every month is The Blue Bell Stories......storytelling and spoken word for grown ups.
