Aerial Salad Is a punk band that formed in 2016, at the time they formed after Jamie and Jack returned from The FEST in Florida, They gave up their old pal Mike a call, and Aerial salad had their first practice, The goal was to play the very festival that had re-ignited this desire to play music for the Spicy Salad Bois, a goal that somehow at the ages of 19 19 17 they achieved
After swiftly playing the worst set in FEST history and probably never getting asked back they some how continued to be really young and stupid and stumble into another amazing opportunity in the form of Daddy Wonk offering to look after the young savages and help put out their album,
Roach was released in November of 2017 and stole a place in the hearts and top ten lists of the UK punk scene ‘ Roach stands tall against many more experienced bands and is up there with Iron Chic and The Smith Street Band in terms of 2017’s quality releases. That’s a pretty mighty achievement’ - Shout louder zine
‘A remarkable debut, a memory regained on how Punk used to be’ - Liverpool sound and vision
The album helped Aerial Salad get on tours and bills with the likes of, Beach Slang, Wonk Unit, Rebellion Festival(2), Manchester Punk Festival Wonk Fest(2) and many many more
they dipped their toes into the world of official spotify playlists too spending 9 months in ‘THE PUNK LIST’ along side genre giants Slaves and Idles
As 2019 shows its face along with new drummer Matty ‘golden boy’ Mills Aerial salad are finally beginning to morph into one of the most exciting young Manchester bands the city has to offer.
