A friendly group of approximately 40 amateur musicians with a huge variety of ages: from GCSE students to retired!
Our repertoire is heavily varied, ranging from Jazz Standards and the Big Band Era of the 20s to modern arrangements, such as Michael Jackson's Thriller, and includes both vocal and instrumental numbers, so there is something for everyone.
The Hall sits in the centre of Matfield village, close to the picturesque village green and pond. The village is five miles to the east of Tunbridge Wells, off the A21 and lies in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Village Hall itself is a modern building with a recently refurbished kitchen and a large car park. It has a large and small hall, a stage with lighting and electronic public address system, and a small, grassed children's play area.
The main hall can be used for conferences and plays, for dinners, dances and similar functions and for exercise or dance classes. It has a sprung wooden floor which is marked out as a badminton court. The smaller hall can be subdivided into medium and small meeting rooms.
