Live Performance
Pop, Rock, Country, Psychedelic.

Anonymous Iconoclasts bring a whole new meaning to the word ‘cynical’. Welcome to the world of four musicians thrown together by an ill wind, poor sense of direction and the promise of cheap alcohol. Prepare for catchy tunes and dark, dark lyrics; paranoia, psycho-babble, anguish, angst and apathy. With more than 100 years worth of live gigs and too many hangovers to even think about remembering, this lot went around the block, knocked it down but weren’t quite bothered enough to rebuild it.

Their set features highlights from their debut album ‘Downstairs for Dancing’, songs about parks, whisky, beer cans, life, death, oh, and a Messerschmidt too…

The Zen Bar Profile Pic

The Zen Bar is a students union bar, in the heart of Cardiff serving a great selection of food and drinks, often with live music.

Recently refurbished in August 2013 our new look Zen is a stress-free retreat and is especially attractive for those of you that like to lounge! During the day relax with drink, re-fuel with a meal or knock some balls around (we’ve got table tennis and pool)! In the evening Zen transforms into a bar with cosy corners and a dancefloor that’s begging to see your moves. There’s even a stage if you’re an extrovert!

Zen is the venue that has it all: come and see for yourself! Oh and don’t forget to bring your UMAX card for discounts and the latest offers shown on our webpage.
