This friendly inn is definitely worth discovering, as it epitomises all that is good about the traditional British pub.

To the rear is a beautiful beer garden - an oasis within the city.

There is always something on the calendar; the Dog and Bone is the venue for many events, including music, quizzes, walks, beer festivals, art exhibitions and charity nights. There is also a permanent book exchenge facility.

We currently have various clubs and societies meeting here and welcome enquiries from other clubs. We have a private room which can be booked for meetings free of charge.
