Description

The Pontardawe Inn locally know as the Gwachel (Hidden). The name comes from the road side sign outside the pub which said Hidden Dip, as it was next to a ford across the river Tawe before the bridge was built.

The pub has had a number of owners in the last few decades. Buckley's Brewery, Pontardawe Festival, Peter & Carol Clayton, Celtic Inn and now Marstons PLC.
