Description

The Wroughton Silver Band is a long-established band based in the Wiltshire village of Wroughton, which nestles below the ancient Ridgeway path and iron-age hill fort of Barbury Castle.

We are a, friendly, non-contesting band with a full and varied list of engagements in the surrounding area, including Bandstand concerts, Christmas and Remembrance day events, fetes and the occasional march.

We have our own Bandroom at nearby Burderop Park, which was generously provided by the late Sir Henry Calley.

Description

Our John Coles Park is the jewel in our crown – a beautiful green space in the heart of Chippenham regularly attracting 1,500 people on a sunny, summer weekend. The park offers a large area of open space and a circular walk through mature trees. It is maintained to its consistent high standard by our outside team.

The park is open from 8am to dusk spring and summer and from 8am to 4pm from early November to mid-January.

The Bandstand in John Coles Park will be hosting a selection of Sunday afternoon concerts which are free to attend. These popular concerts are a firm favourite in the diary and a super reason to make up a picnic and relax with some gentle toe tapping.

All concerts start at 3pm until 5pm
