Description

The West Midland Light Orchestra is a swing orchestra that plays popular tunes from the past, songs from the shows and film music.

Founded in 1982 by Les Pursey, a local musician who wanted to keep the music of the 1930s and 1940s alive.

Since its formation the orchestra has grown in both size and reputation and is now well known in the local area. It is a unique orchestra, keeping alive the music of the shows and bringing them to a wider audience.

As well as three "At Home" concerts a year at the Stourport Manor Hotel, the orchestra is available to play concerts around the midlands area.
