Brass Band
Tideswell Band are a non contesting band in the heart of the Peak District, we have a variety of different music to cater for almost any audience.
Tideswell band was formed in 1875 in a time when brass was
really beginning to kick off in the area a time when music was the forefront of entertainment
as there was no such thing as computers radios tellys and such like,
a time when ppl just enjoyed being in eachothers company rather than isolated in front of the goggle box!
Music to the likes of us bandsmen is something to share and hopefully to make the people understand
that it can immerse you in every possible emotion there is
Bakewell carnival is a week of fun events for all the family and ending the week is the towns carnival procession.
The main parade will take place on the Saturday at the end of the week, starting at the Rec.
Bakewell Carnival is the BIGGEST and BEST Carnival in the North of England.
Brought to you and organised by the Rotary Club of Bakewell.
This year enjoy 3 bands ,Join Bakewell Silver Band, Tideswell Band and Cressbrook Band in the Delightful surroundings of Bakewell Recreation Ground for a summers evening full of tunes you know and love. From Classical to Pop this is a Bakewell Carnival event not to be missed.
