Description

Arcadia Roots are a Worcestershire based band that deliver an exciting hypnotic blend of Trance, Dance, Reggae and Roots music.

The bands vibe has been described as ‘earthy’, ‘psychedelic’ and ‘infectious’. This 4 piece dance band combine world, reggae and rock music to create a very unique & captivating sound. To quote the Alabama 3 “We’ve never been on X Factor or Pop Idol”, we are doing things the old fashioned way by gigging as much as we can in as many places as we can to win over the fans who come to see us.

We write a majority of our own music and live performances can only be described as “Infectious” due to our ability to get you on your feet and moving to the roots rhythms. If you are having a good time, then so are we!

The lyrical content of the music reflects the band’s extensive travels. Themes cover some current political and environmental concern’s (fracking, trophy hunting, and religious indoctrination) to time-honoured topics such as love, lust and the search for meaning. These words are placed in between swirling delay and reverbed guitar melodies grounded with a pounding rhythmic backbone.

Following a 2017 summer of festivals and high-profile gigs, notably sharing the Glastonbury Festival Pilton-Party stage with Bastille and Declan McKenna plus headlining the BBC stage at Lakefest alongside Aswad, Alabama 3 and The Charlatans, we decided to record and release 6 of their most popular tracks to round off a very successful year.

Currently, the band have a number of 2018 UK festivals booked as well as a UK tour taking in venues up and down the country to “Spread the Word” that is Arcadia Roots.

The bands current release is doing well and a new CD and video are planned for later in the year.

Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, Minety Music Festival is now in its second year, following on from the success of the 2017 event, which was shortlisted in the UK Festival Awards (Best New Festival category).

Minety Music Festival is a 3 day music festival with over 40 bands on 2 stages... Plenty to do and see for the whole family. It’s a great way to spend your summer weekend...
...and generally an excuse to have a bit of a party!

Although we have booked hot weather, we will be prepared for all eventualities! The main stage will be undercover, so whatever happens, you can stay dry and enjoy a superb weekend of music from a fantastic line-up, showcasing local music talent and covering a wide spectrum of music styles.
