EYB celebrates its twentieth anniversary year, English Youth Ballet has gained in popularity and has an established formidable reputation for classic and dramatic productions of the famous classical ballets.



With professional dancers, dancing the leading roles, the company gives young dancers throughout the UK a wonderful performance opportunity to dance alongside the principals in solo and corps de ballet roles.







SLEEPING BEAUTY-AURORA'S WEDDING







Aurora has been placed in the palace grounds in a cryogenic state with Cryonites (ice fairies) to protect her. Prince Alexander and his scientist colleague are drawn to a Cold Spot to investigate this frozen phenomenon. The good Aunt Lilac shows the Prince a vision of Aurora but they are confronted by the wicked Aunt Carabosse Good is triumphant over Evil and her malicious spell is broken.



Aurora is awakened by the Prince's kiss and the Duke and Duchess host Aurora's wedding celebrations by presenting a divertissements of dancers in honour of their daughter and her Prince.







BALLET ETUDES







Ballet Etudes is a one act homage to classical ballet training. It is an exceptionally choreographed ballet class, beginning with barre exercises and ending with spectacular bravura displays of dancing. EYB's professional principals give virtuoso performances backed up by the young dancers and accompanied by the orchestration of the beautiful arrangements of Carl Czerny's piano studies.

Stamford's independently managed theatre for the best in live music, theatre and dance.

The Corn Exchange Theatre is located in the heart of Stamford, directly opposite the Browns Hospital on Broad Street, which runs parallel to the Stamford High Street.

The Corn Exchange Theatre is also a short walk from Stamford central bus station, and 10 minute walk over the meadows from the train station.

Parking on Broad Street is free after 6pm daily and free all day on Sundays. Finding a space can be difficult due to its location and popularity.

North Street car park is the largest public car park local to the theatre. The car park functions as a pay and display from 9am - 6pm. after 6pm parking is free.

There are accessible toilets on every level of the building with full disabled and baby changing facilities.

The Theatre Lounge is open for pre-show three course dinners from 5:30pm on selected show dates. Tables must be reserved 3 days prior to show. Our bar is open for pre-show, interval and after show drinks (subject to availability)

Please note. Dates on which shows are on the Box Office will be open later than normal.
