This duo of guitar, banjo and washboard play footstomping blues, ragtime, swing and folk like it was on the street corners of America in the 1920s, 30s & 40s. The band has played many gigs, including Huddersfield Food & Drink Festival, C FAB Folk Festival in Lincolnshire and may pubs and bars. This duo is perfect for situations where something acoustic, but energetic and lively is required.

Description

Saltaire Festival takes place annually in September in the village of Saltaire, on the outskirts of Bradford. A celebration of the arts, community and the village’s unique history, the festival usually runs over a period of 10 days and attracts more than 30,000 people to enjoy some 100+ events.

The festival was first established in 2003, when it was set up to commemorate 150 years since Sir Titus Salt created Saltaire. A registered charity run entirely by volunteers, the festival has successfully drawn residents and visitors from West Yorkshire and beyond into the village for each year to enjoy and celebrate Saltaire together.

The festival programme covers two weekends and the week in between. The first weekend features the popular Open Gardens trail, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the village and its history through its current residents. Yards and gardens will host works by local sculptors, in association with Saltaire Inspired, and there will be pop-up and surprise events in homes around the village, with children’s and family activities in the village and Roberts Park.

During the week numerous individual arts events will be taking place at various locations throughout Saltaire, building up to the final weekend.

The festival concludes with food, drink and markets in Roberts Park, as well as free live music and entertainment on both days.

Music is a key feature of the festival and, whatever your taste, there should be something of interest for you. Free and ticketed events take place over the course of the 10 days, offering a mix of styles and genres.
