The Wirebirds feature musicians drawn from around the world: the remote South Atlantic island of St. Helena, the rugged mountains of Montana and wolds of Oxfordshire.

The Wirebirds' music is constantly evolving, but never strays far from our blues roots.

Established in 1647, The Plough is situated in the rural heartland of North Oxfordshire. A Pub of History and Elegance.

The Plough is a historic inn whose main building dates back to 1470 and is owned by Ewelme Charitable Trust.

Children are welcome, dogs are welcome in the main bar and garden provided they are on leads. We have a large garden, a playground and a big car park.

We carry a wide selection of drinks of both the alcoholic and soft variety including many from local breweries. Hot beverages, bar snacks and cakes are also available. Sandwiches are available in the afternoon. We regret however that we now only supply full menus if they are pre booked at least a fortnight in advance and for 10 or more people.

We welcome functions, meetings and events- please contact us to enquire about these. You can also book part or all of our rooms for events. We can design menus for your particular function provided you book at least a week in advance.

We especially welcome family celebrations such as Christenings, post Funeral receptions and small Wedding Receptions.

The Plough is a lively hub for the local village community.

The Plough hosts the Aunt Sally fixtures for Marsh Gibbon (Bicester and District Aunt Sally League). We have two very enthusiastic and friendly teams and it's not just good exercise it's also tremendous fun. Only played in summer but we can show you how the game works and you can practise on our pitch at any time.

We now also host a Post Office Local in the cafe. open 12-23 Tues to Sunday.
Collections 16:25 Tue->Fri, 12:15 on Sat, with no collection on Sun or Mon.
