Description

We are an eighteen-piece big band, playing classic tunes from the swing era and arrangements of more contemporary tunes. Our repertoire includes songs made famous by the giants of jazz; including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Louis Armstrong.

Swing music is great to dance to, and we frequently fill the floor at our gigs. We typically offer a balanced set, mixing in a few slower tunes to give the dancers a rest between songs. We also offer some funk and blues, to spice things up a little.

We are a friendly, welcoming band and are eager to welcome new players of all ages who enjoy swing, jazz and big band era music.

We rehearse in Herne Hill every Wednesday evening from 8pm – 10pm.
