Description

Now in their 11th year, having played over 1000 shows, and still only in their twenties; Walkway firmly have the reputation as one of the UK’s brightest up and coming rock bands.

Hailing from Diss, East Anglia, England, Walkway take on the old fashioned approach of hard work by consistently touring around the UK, performing 100+ shows each year in music venues, pubs, bars, clubs and festivals - This resulting in them often being described as “The Hardest working band in Britain”.

With the driving force of founding members the Ready Brothers, Walkway have opened for Status Quo (electric and aquostic), The Darkness, Black Stone Cherry, Slade, Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), Eric Martin (Mr Big), Graham Bonnet (Rainbow), plus had national airplay on BBC Radio 2.

Before his death, Walkway were also scheduled to be working and touring with Rick Parfitt (Status Quo) on his solo project; for which Chris and James had written music ready to be submitted for this.

The successful Walkway brand sees a range of merchandise from caps and badges to beanies and T-shirts and hoodies, plus copies of the bands albums sold and promoted by the band themselves.

The distinctive Walkway logo is easily recognised and seen up and down the country.

In 2017 the band also released their highly anticipated third album WWIII.

Recorded in only 13 days at Sonic One Studio, Wales and mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios by Grammy Winner Sean Magee, WWIII contains 12 new Walkway songs, plus a tribute to the late Status Quo Guitarist/Vocalist Rick Parfitt with a cover of Quo's "Rain".

The track also features original Status Quo Drummer John Coghlan guesting on drums.

The album has received rave reviews from the press and public with regular comments of "best rock album of 2017".
