MARTIN STEPHENSON & THE DAINTEESS - Salutation Road 30th Anniversary Event Title Pic

Featuring

Martin Stephenson and the Daintees

Rock / Folk / Pop Band

Inspired by early Cure and the Brighton scene, Martin began his career as a busker aged 15 . He then spent three years plying his trade as the guitar player in various bands in the North East of England . But Martin wanted more, he wanted to tell stories of his own and he was quickly developing ways of doing just that.

He developed his song-writing technique by firstly learning a few licks from a Spanish guitar book and repeated the process with Jazz, Blues, Country, Skiffle, Reggae etc. Eventually, this glorious collision of styles would become the trademark which Martin has carried through his career of almost 40 years.

Description

OPEN was established in 2005 to provide opportunities for young people in Norfolk, including those who are most disadvantaged, with the longer term aim of making a positive difference to their lives.

The charity, based in the heart of Norwich, is located in a Grade II listed, multi-purpose venue which provides live music, venue hire for conferences, meetings and events as well as being home to a cafe, climbing wall, dance studio, gym and CLOSED secure storage.
The profit from all commercial activities enables the charity to offer a diverse range of different activities, most of which are free to attend, for young people aged 7 – 25.

We work with a range of local and national promoters to host an array of gigs and events that brings the best in live music and entertainment to the region.

With two unique and flexible spaces (Banking Hall & Club) we are able to offer a venue suitable for 50 -1450 people.

Dedicated disabled parking spaces operated by the Castle Mall and St Andrews car parks as well as limited disabled parking bays on the road.

Some music events are standing only. Customers with access needs or those who have difficulty standing for long periods should inform the Box Office in advance of the event. The Duty Manager of the event will do everything possible to ensure a comfortable viewing position is provided.

Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes) is NOT permitted in any part of the Venue.
