Limehouse LizzyThin Lizzy Tribute
Limehouse Lizzy are officially one of the hardest working bands in the UK. They were accredited for their live shows by the Performing Rights Society in December 2011 and received their certificate from PRS Chairman (and respected songwriter) Guy Fletcher OBE.
Renowned for an action-packed pyrothechnic-fuelled explosion of a show, Limehouse Lizzy continue to keep the spirit of Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy alive, well and dominating stages worldwide. The band have also added a tribute into their show to ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist (and world renowned solo artist) Gary Moore who sadly passed away last year.
Description
The Garage on Sauchiehall Street stands as a long-established pillar of Glasgow's vibrant nightlife, a significant live music venue and Scotland's largest nightclub. For decades, it has served as a crucial hub for both emerging and established artists, contributing substantially to the city's cultural landscape and offering a consistent destination for diverse audiences.
Within its multi-level expanse, the venue unfolds across several distinct rooms, each cultivating its own atmosphere. The thrum of bass often resonates through the floorboards, a constant companion to the varied musical offerings, from chart hits to indie rock. The main staircase, adorned with the names of countless bands who have graced its stages, offers a visual testament to its rich history.
Practical considerations are well-addressed, with wheelchair accessibility available via a dedicated rear entrance on Renfrew Street and through the G2 entrance. Accessible toilets are also provided across various areas of the venue. While a garden space is not a feature, a comprehensive selection of beverages, from standard club fare to more considered cocktails, is readily available.
Beyond its regular club nights, The Garage consistently hosts a broad spectrum of events. Its stages have seen everything from intimate band performances, often acting as a vital stepping stone for acts on their ascent, to larger-scale concerts, comedy evenings, and even wrestling showcases, ensuring a dynamic and ever-evolving programme.
