Rewind UKG NYD All Day Rave
Genre : Bass Music, Bassline, UK Garage
Rewind UKG returns after a huge launch event, this time we're taking over the full Mama Roux's complex for a HUGE all day event on New Years Day.
Mama Roux's stands as a significant cultural anchor within Birmingham's Digbeth creative quarter, a neighbourhood bar, yard, and live music venue nestled beneath the area's distinctive railway arches. It contributes notably to the city's independent cultural landscape, providing a consistent platform for diverse events and fostering a vibrant local scene.
The interior atmosphere shifts across its distinct zones. The main covered yard, for instance, features a draping wisteria-effect ceiling and a central glitter ball, creating an immersive, almost theatrical feel. Inside, the bar area offers a moodier ambience, characterised by neon lighting and the tactile comfort of leather booth seating, where the air often hums with the energy of anticipation.
Practically, the venue incorporates a versatile outdoor yard and a front terrace, ideal for warmer evenings. Mama Roux's is committed to accessibility, offering provisions for wheelchair users and encouraging direct contact to ensure individual requirements are met. The bar serves a comprehensive selection of beverages, from craft beers and natural wines to bespoke house cocktails, complemented by street food offerings from Only Jerkin'.
Throughout the year, Mama Roux's hosts a dynamic programme of events. This includes a varied roster of live music performances, regular DJ nights spanning genres from house to disco, and themed social gatherings. It functions as a flexible space, equally suited to intimate artistic showcases and larger, high-energy communal experiences.
