Description

Dorking Halls stands as a significant cultural hub within the Surrey Hills, a focal point for entertainment and community engagement. It serves as a public asset, providing a diverse programme that enriches local life and draws visitors to the area.

The Art Deco architecture of Dorking Halls imbues its spaces with a distinct character. Within the Grand Hall, the polished wood of the seating and the subtle scent of aged theatre fabric contribute to an atmosphere of anticipation before a performance. Thoughtful design ensures clear sightlines and warm acoustics, whether in the main auditorium or the more intimate rooms.

The venue offers a relaxed café and two bars for refreshments, providing spaces for pre-show drinks or casual meetings. Accessibility is a key consideration, with wheelchair access, accessible seating, hearing induction loops, and accessible toilets available to ensure comfort for all patrons. Parking is conveniently located behind the theatre, and it benefits from proximity to Dorking's mainline train stations.

Dorking Halls hosts a broad spectrum of events, from live music and comedy performances to theatrical productions and film screenings. Its programme regularly includes family-oriented shows, classical concerts, and community gatherings, reflecting its role as a versatile venue for a wide audience.
