Description

Long Description:

Social stands as a significant cultural artery within Hull's revitalised Fruit Market district, a 300-capacity venue consistently delivering a diverse programme of events to the city. It functions as a vital space for both established and emerging artists, contributing meaningfully to the region's creative landscape.

Inside, the converted warehouse retains an industrial charm, softened by low, adjustable lighting that casts a warm glow over the varied seating – from comfortable sofas to high stools. The air often carries the faint scent of hops from the bar and the lingering hum of the previous night's bass, a testament to its constant activity.

Practical considerations are well-addressed, with step-free access available at both front and rear entrances, complemented by an accessible toilet equipped with grab rails and an alarm. The bar offers a considered selection of draught and bottled craft beers, including local Atom Brewery offerings, alongside wines, spirits, and coffee from The Blending Room.

The venue's calendar is robust, encompassing a broad spectrum of live music, stand-up comedy, DJ nights, club events, and theatrical productions. It serves as a platform for discovery, regularly showcasing talent across various disciplines and fostering a dynamic environment for performance.
