THE BOOTLEG BEATLES IN CONCERT 2025-2026. Following the triumph of their last concert celebrating the songs of the Beatles' iconic five films, The Bootleg Beatles return this year with their focus on another Famous Five. This time, it's The Beatles top five selling albums - the Dylan influenced Rubber Soul, the experimental Revolver, Sgt Pepper heralding the Summer of Love and psychedelia, The 'White Album' with its glorious eclectic mish mash of styles, and their grand finale, the musically sophisticated Abbey Road. Each LP as groundbreaking as its predecessor, each LP uniquely diverse, and each now brought to life on stage in one very special concert by The Bootleg Beatles and their merry band of gifted backing musicians. For Beatle enthusiasts of all ages, not to be missed on any account. "Less a tribute -- more a reincarnation". The Telegraph "Mind-boggling accuracy." The Mail on Sunday "The magic of perfect Illusion." -- Rolling Stone

The Anvil stands as a significant cultural asset for Basingstoke and the wider Hampshire region, established with the explicit aim of elevating the borough's profile as a major centre for the performing arts. Operated by Anvil Arts, an independent educational charity, it serves as a vital hub, delivering a diverse programme of events that enrich the community and attract audiences from across the South.
Within its distinctive, anvil-shaped architecture, the main auditorium offers an atmosphere of refined anticipation. The air often carries the faint, clean scent of polished wood and the quiet hum of conversation before a performance, while the carefully considered lighting casts a warm glow across the adjustable seating. Renowned for some of the finest acoustics in Europe, the space is designed to immerse audiences in the clarity and depth of every note and spoken word.
Practical considerations are well-addressed, with comprehensive accessibility features including wheelchair spaces, lifts, and accessible facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. The venue also boasts a licensed bar, offering a selection of local produce and a convenient pre-order or order-to-seat service, alongside a commitment to environmentally friendly practices.
Throughout the year, The Anvil hosts a broad spectrum of events, from classical music concerts and jazz ensembles to contemporary popular music, stand-up comedy, and theatrical productions. It also stages an annual pantomime season and facilitates educational workshops, reinforcing its role beyond mere entertainment as a centre for learning and engagement.
