Inside, the venue maintains a grounded authenticity. The front bar, with its sombre Tudor beams, offers the comforting familiarity of a traditional pub, while the back room, a dedicated performance space, often carries the distinct, earthy scent of a well-used venue. Low-key furnishings and ambient lighting contribute to an unpretentious atmosphere, inviting genuine engagement rather than fleeting spectacle.

Practicalities are well-considered, with a spacious, covered garden area providing an outdoor retreat, accessible via a single step. The main bar area offers step-free entry, though a small step leads into the gig room, and a temporary ramp can be provided. A selection of real ales, lagers, and spirits are readily available from the bar.

Throughout the week, the venue hosts a diverse programme of events, ranging from intimate live music showcases featuring various genres to energetic club nights and DJ sets. These gatherings draw a discerning crowd, fostering a dynamic environment for both discovery and established sounds.
