Matt Bianco is a UK group formed in 1982 by Mark Reilly (vocals), Danny White (keyboards) and Kito Poncioni (bass), from the ashes of Blue Rondo A La Turk.

Their first album Whose Side Are You On?(1984) featured unknown polish vocalist Basia. The LP turned Matt Bianco into one of the biggest acts of the 1980's with hits such as Get Out Of Your Lazy Bed, Half A Minute, & More Than I Can Bear.

Basia and Danny White left the group after the first album to pursue a solo-career under the name Basia. Mark Reilly worked with keyboardist Mark Fisher for the next self titled LP Matt Bianco (1986) which included the big hit Yeh Yeh.

The next Matt Bianco LP Indigo (1988) was produced by Gloria Estefan's husband Emilio Estefan and included the singles Don't Blame It On That Girl, Good Times & Wap Bam Boogie.

Matt Bianco continue to this day collaborating with the cream of UK Jazz musicians along with two incredible albums with Dutch Latin jazz crew New Cool Collective in recent times.

Union Chapel is an award winning music venue in Islington, North London. But it’s more than that, it’s Victorian Gothic architectural jewel, that’s still a working church, home to an incredible organ and the base for The Margins Project which works with people facing homelessness and isolation.

Coming to an event at Union Chapel supports the conservation and development of the building. Union Chapel operates as a charity dedicated to looking after the space and opening it to a diverse group of people. In the past 25 years the Chapel has gone from facing demolition to being Grade 1 listed and from being virtually abandoned to welcoming tens of thousands of visitors a year.

We have been voted London’s favourite venue in public polls an amazing three times, in 2002, 2012 and 2014.
