AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH THE UNMASTER SHARING SONGS,
POEMS & ACOUSTIC VERSIONS OF DIZRAELI CLASSICS
“Incredible... make sure you catch him live” Gilles Peterson
Rapper, producer, firestarter. Songwriter, multi instrumentalist, raconteur... Diz is a genre of his own.
From his cult debut album Engurland / City Shanties (2009), which explored the common ground between hiphop and folk traditions, to the explosive LP Joy Machine (2024) with its visionary mixture of hiphop, post-punk and jazz, he has always forged his own way.
“Animated, soulful and incisive... hits every mark” Mojo
For this tour, Diz takes it back to the bones of his solo craft, sharing new songs, poems and acoustic versions of Dizraeli classics accompanied by his own guitar and percussion instruments in secret, cosy locations around the UK.
It will be unspeakably lush.
With pre and post gig sets from DJ RUSTON who has been playing record in fields, nightclubs, warehouses, and police vans all over the UK since about 1995. His sets explore a vast range of music from all over the world – including grime, cumbia, hip hop, dub, electronica, house, jungle, disco, fanfare, off centre dance music from various continents as well as his own productions.
THIS WILL BE A PART SEATED / PART STANDING GIG. WITH SEATS ON A FIRST COME BASIS.
