JIMMY CARPENTER- MULTI BLUES MUSIC AWARD WINNER HORN PLAYER EXTRAORDINAIRE
Jimmy Carpenter is one of the most electrifying performers on today’s blues and soul circuit, known for turning every show into a full-throttle celebration of rhythm, groove, and raw emotion. A master saxophonist with a voice steeped in Southern grit, Carpenter blends deep blues roots with New Orleans R&B, Memphis soul, and hard-driving funk. His performances are powered by explosive horn lines, infectious rhythms, and a magnetic stage presence that demands attention from the first note to the last encore.
Backed by a tight, road-hardened band, Carpenter delivers songs that are equal parts heartfelt and high-energy—music made to move bodies and lift spirits. Whether leaning into slow-burning blues, swaggering soul grooves, or dance-floor-shaking funk, he brings authenticity, passion, and a relentless commitment to the live experience. This is not a sit-back-and-watch show; it’s a stand-up, shout-along, feel-it-in-your-bones night of music.
The saxophonist/ singer/ songwriter is a perennial favourite at the annual Blues Music Awards in Memphis, having been voted in the “Best Instrumentalist/Horn” category with seven nominations and two wins.
His most recent release (2024), Just Got Started, on Gulf Coast Records, opened to rave reviews, debuting at #3 on Apple Blues, and #10 on the Billboard Blues Chart and in 2025 Jimmy received his 10th Blues Music Award nomination for Best Instrumentalist/Horn (he won in 2021 and 2022.)
A professional musician since 1980, He has toured the world with Tinsley Ellis, Jimmy Thackery, Walter Wolfman Washington, Eric Lindell, and Mike Zito. He is also President of the Las Vegas Blues Society.
‘Jimmy Carpenter continues to be a stand-out artist in the contemporary Blues genre. His songwriting is on point and his voice is front and center,” says Gulf Coast president Mike Zito. “Arguably one of the best sax players around.’

Brian Rawson Band
The Brian Rawson Band is a hard-driving blues and roots-rock outfit built around the raw, emotive guitar work and commanding vocals of Brian Rawson. Drawing from the deep well of classic blues while embracing the grit and urgency of modern rock, the band delivers music that is both timeless and immediate.
At the heart of the band’s sound is Rawson’s expressive guitar style—earthy, soulful, and unafraid to cut loose—supported by a tight rhythm section that knows when to dig deep and when to leave space for the songs to breathe.

Legendary venue hidden in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town. For music lovers by music lovers.
LaBelle is a 600 capacity live music venue, club and creative space.
We like electro, retro, ghetto, house and techno; to disco, funk, punk, soul, indie rock and whale song. Not to mention everything in between. Our mission: to support the local scene and bring in some of the best names in music from across the globe.
Originally formed in the early 90s, we stood for over a decade at the forefront of underground art, music and clubbing culture until the venue was famously destroyed in the Cowgate fire of 2002.
In 2014, our institution that once hosted live performances by the likes of Oasis, Radiohead and The Libertines - not to mention being the home of ground-breaking club nights such as Manga and Ultragroove - was rebuilt and reopened.
We’re from the school of thought that dance floors were designed to unite music lovers from all walks of life - from the moment you walk through the door to the ‘one more tune’ chant.
Our promise is simple: good tunes, good folk, and good fun. Relax, have a dance, and let us do the hard work - delivering excellent music straight to your ears seven nights a week. Guaranteed to leave a big fat smile on your face.
