Description

Brighton Dome stands as a pivotal cultural institution within the city, a multi-arts venue deeply woven into the fabric of Brighton's Royal Pavilion Estate. This Grade I listed building, originally conceived as the Prince Regent's stables, has evolved into a significant national asset, consistently delivering a diverse programme of events and actively supporting both emerging and established artists.

Within its historic walls, the Concert Hall, Corn Exchange, and Studio Theatre offer distinct atmospheres. The Concert Hall, in particular, with its grand central cupola, evokes a sense of expansive elegance, where the subtle scent of aged wood and polished brass might linger in the air, or the hushed anticipation before a performance gives way to the vibrant hum of an audience.

Practical considerations are well addressed, ensuring broad access. The venue is fully accessible, featuring lifts, ramp access, and accessible toilet facilities across all public areas. On-site catering is available, and the immediate proximity to the tranquil Pavilion Gardens offers a pleasant outdoor respite.

Throughout the year, Brighton Dome hosts a rich calendar of performances, encompassing music, theatre, dance, comedy, literature, and visual arts. Beyond its regular schedule, it serves as a central hub for the internationally acclaimed Brighton Festival and other notable cultural gatherings, including The Great Escape.
