Electrowerkz stands as a formidable institution within London's event landscape, a late 19th-century industrial warehouse that has evolved into a vital cultural asset since 1987. More than just a commercial enterprise, it has fostered a distinct community, notably as the birthplace of 'Slimelight', the world's longest-running dark alternative night, and a consistent beacon for creative expression and underground movements. Its enduring presence behind Angel station solidifies its status as a national hub for alternative music and performance.

The interior atmosphere is one of purposeful grit and immersive character. Across its multiple levels, the raw, exposed brickwork and metal fixtures offer a tactile connection to its industrial past, while the dim, often coloured lighting and pervasive haze machines in the dance areas create a deeply atmospheric, almost cinematic environment. The air frequently carries the faint, sweet scent of fog, mingling with the thrum of bass that resonates through the very structure.

Practical considerations are well-addressed within its expansive 30,000 sq. ft. footprint, which includes seven distinct spaces over five levels. Among these are a striking courtyard beneath a glass atrium and a day-lit penthouse. The ground floor ensures accessibility with wide, step-free entry, an accessible bar service point, and a dedicated toilet facility. Multiple bars throughout the venue ensure a steady flow of refreshments, often including staple, reasonably priced options.

Throughout the year, Electrowerkz hosts a broad spectrum of events, from high-energy club nights exploring genres like goth, industrial, techno, and rave, to live music showcases and fashion presentations. Beyond its public programme, the venue also serves as a versatile backdrop for corporate functions, brand launches, private parties, and various filming and photographic projects, reflecting its adaptability and unique appeal.
