Hailing from the heart of the 80s London scene, Elixir cemented their status in metal history with the 1986 masterpiece "The Son Of Odin"—an album recently hailed by Metal Hammer as one of the "25 Greatest Power Metal Albums" of all time.
Their storied history is woven into the fabric of London metal, from recording with the late, great Clive Burr (Iron Maiden) on the Lethal Potion sessions to their triumphant 21st-century resurgence. With six studio albums under their belt—including the critically acclaimed Voyage Of The Eagle (Metal Hammer’s #1 Album of the Year, 2020)—Elixir continues to prove why they are the undisputed masters of the genre.

We are not only a ROCKTASTIC PUB, Cart & Horses is a cool and unique pub to catch up with friends in the East End of London. So whether it be at the bar or in our Beer Garden, we are just fifty yards from Maryland station and a stone’s throw away from Stratford station.

Home to buzz, banter and televised sports, Cart and Horses is also very well-known for the fact that the British legendary rock band Iron Maiden played their first gigs here.
