DAY FEVER HAS TAKEN OVER THE COUNTRY!

The day-time clubbing event started by Vicky McClure, Jonny Owen and Reverend & The Makers has swept the UK since it’s launch in 2024
‘The day-time disco that doesn’t ruin your Sunday’ has amassed a huge following with thousands of punters packing out clubs and theatres every weekend to dance the day away from. A whole generation who perhaps thought their clubbing days were behind them are blazing a trail for a new way to enjoy themselves.
Day Fever prides itself on creating a safe-space where people can just be themselves. No dress code, no egos, just enjoyment and positivity. This has seen a loyal fanbase leading to sold out shows in some of the countries most famous venues.

The music policy is simple, the greatest hits of the 20th century. Why can’t Madonna sit next to Madness? Pulp go back to back with Prince? The Stone Roses and The Rolling Stones?
90’s dance classics versus a spot of Motown? Why choose when you can enjoy it all?
Vicky McClure says ‘Travelling up and down the country and seeing so many people enjoying themselves has been such a joy, we’re just so happy that people feel comfortable at Day Fever and meeting and hearing everyone’s stories has made us realise how important it is for us all to take some time out of life and just have a bloody good dance!’

Description

Barras Art and Design (BAaD) stands as a significant cultural anchor within Glasgow's historic Barras Market, a dynamic space that transcends typical commercial offerings. It functions as a vital nexus for creative expression and community gathering, drawing both local residents and visitors into its orbit. More than just a venue, it serves as a focal point for the East End, contributing to the area's vibrant identity.

Within its distinctive architecture, a sense of industrial elegance prevails, softened by thoughtful design. The expansive covered courtyard, bathed in natural light filtering through a glazed roof supported by striking pink steel arches, offers an airy yet intimate atmosphere. The scent of fresh coffee and diverse culinary offerings often mingles with the subtle hum of conversation, creating an inviting backdrop for connection and contemplation.

The venue incorporates a versatile container yard, providing an outdoor dimension that adapts to Glasgow's changeable weather, often transforming into a sun-trap or a sheltered space for al fresco enjoyment. Accessibility is a key consideration, with most areas, excluding the mezzanine, designed for wheelchair users. A well-stocked bar ensures a comprehensive selection of beverages to complement any occasion.

BAaD hosts a broad spectrum of events, reflecting its role as a multifaceted cultural hub. These range from live music performances and comedy nights to art exhibitions and fashion showcases. It also accommodates various community-focused gatherings, panel discussions, and private celebrations, solidifying its reputation as an adaptable space for diverse programming.
