The legendary Cart & Horses hosted Maiden’s very first gig on 9th June 1976 and on 9th June 2026, we’re celebrating it again… 50 years later.

We are not only a ROCKTASTIC PUB, Cart & Horses is a cool and unique pub to catch up with friends in the East End of London. So whether it be at the bar or in our Beer Garden, we are just fifty yards from Maryland station and a stone’s throw away from Stratford station.

Home to buzz, banter and televised sports, Cart and Horses is also very well-known for the fact that the British legendary rock band Iron Maiden played their first gigs here.

You will be greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who will be happy to serve you GREAT FOOD, a wide range of Beers, Ciders, Ales, Spirits, Fine Wines and not forgetting the Iron Maiden Trooper beer selection. You can enjoy your drinks and food at the bar, relax at one of our tables in the Saloon bar or outside in our comfortable covered Beer Garden.
