London-born and award-winning vocal artist Deelee Dub? made history as the first British Sassy Awards recipient, winning the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2016, and possesses what Jazz Times called ?a warm tone, genuine blues feeling and easy rhythmic authority?. Embodying a stellar African musical lineage, the eclectic tastes of a London upbringing, and a deep love and respect for the jazz tradition, Deelee is one of the most gifted vocalists to have emerged from the London scene in many years.
Recorded on the Concord Jazz US label and released in 2020 to unequivocal critical acclaim, ?Trying Times? was applauded as ?a most impressive debut? by All About Jazz, and subsequently won the South African Mzantsi Jazz Awards for best International Jazz Collaboration in 2021.

Green Note was founded by two friends and passionate music lovers who wanted to create their ideal place to hang out in London...
Our dream was to create a place where we could share music that we loved – somewhere with a laid back, intimate and friendly atmosphere. Becoming friends in our school days, the seed for our idea was planted many years ago. After lots of hard work, many ups and downs, and learning more than we ever could have imagined along the way, our dream became a reality when Green Note opened its doors in the Summer of 2005. Now in our fourteenth year, we have established a reputation as one of London’s best spots for roots, world and acoustic music, and we’re constantly astonished by the wealth of incredible musicians who grace our stage. We’re really proud of what we have created, and happy to be able to share it with you.
