Opening the show is London musician, PARIS RABONE
Paris Rabone's journey began in London's Soho, where his family owned a popular record store that specialised in Black music; this cultural immersion became the foundation of his artistic identity.
Drawing inspiration from avant-garde jazz pioneers Sun Ra and Alice Coltrane, Paris now crafts a sound that defies easy categorisation. His songs blend experimental Jazz with R&B, Hip-Hop, Electronic, and Drum & Bass elements, creating a fresh, forward-thinking sonic palette.
Tastemakers Giles Peterson and Lauren Laverne of BBC6 dubbed him "special", giving his track "Marrow" early airplay and cementing his status as one to watch.
Paris?s unique sound caught the ear of Neo-Soul legend Erykah Badu - she proclaimed Paris "amazing" on BBC Radio. This co-sign lead to Erykah inviting Paris to open for her at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall in London. This was followed by Badu herself handpicking Paris to be featured in a campaign for Converse and Patta.
Paris is preparing to launch his debut project, which he wrote and produced. It explores themes of heartbreak, separation, love, and new beginnings.
Green Note was founded by two friends and passionate music lovers who wanted to create their ideal place to hang out in London...
Our dream was to create a place where we could share music that we loved – somewhere with a laid back, intimate and friendly atmosphere. Becoming friends in our school days, the seed for our idea was planted many years ago. After lots of hard work, many ups and downs, and learning more than we ever could have imagined along the way, our dream became a reality when Green Note opened its doors in the Summer of 2005. Now in our fourteenth year, we have established a reputation as one of London’s best spots for roots, world and acoustic music, and we’re constantly astonished by the wealth of incredible musicians who grace our stage. We’re really proud of what we have created, and happy to be able to share it with you.
