About Jim Mullen
Jim Mullen is a Glasgow-born guitarist celebrated across the UK and beyond. He first made waves in the late 60s and 70s, working with groups such as Brian Auger?s Oblivion Express and Kokomo, and then famously co-leading the jazz-funk band Morrissey-Mullen for many years.
Known for playing with his thumb (rather than a pick), bringing a warm, soulful tone to his guitar work, Jim has also recorded and performed with many major names in jazz, funk and blues, including Mose Allison, Jimmy Smith, Claire Martin, and Georgie Fame.
