From opening up for Nashville-based superstar Sunny Sweeney to support from BBC Introducing, Black Deer Radio and Sirius XM legend Eric Alper, Americana duo Virginia Dirt have really stomped their big blazing boots all over the UK Country scene throughout 2025. Their singles have been aired on radios right across the globe, included in playlists on Spotify such as Trending Country and their debut album, mastered by the magician Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, propelled them to sell out shows in multiple cities (inc. our basement bar) and even appear at the prestigious British Country Music Festival. With a busy festival season already in place for the summer, their new EP (produced by Kitty, Daisy and Lewis) will be released in May, and they'll be celebrating the release with us here on Friday 29th. Green Note was founded by two friends and passionate music lovers who wanted to create their ideal place to hang out in London...
Our dream was to create a place where we could share music that we loved – somewhere with a laid back, intimate and friendly atmosphere. Becoming friends in our school days, the seed for our idea was planted many years ago. After lots of hard work, many ups and downs, and learning more than we ever could have imagined along the way, our dream became a reality when Green Note opened its doors in the Summer of 2005. Now in our fourteenth year, we have established a reputation as one of London’s best spots for roots, world and acoustic music, and we’re constantly astonished by the wealth of incredible musicians who grace our stage. We’re really proud of what we have created, and happy to be able to share it with you.
