Description

Härva is a collaboration between three musicians brought together by a shared love of Roma and Balkan music, improvised expression, and cross-cultural storytelling.

Faith is known internationally for her work in Serbian Roma music. She has co-created and produced two original albums with acclaimed director Emir Kusturica and the band Faith i Branko, both of which reached the Top 10 in the World Music Charts Europe and featured on The Rough Guide to World Jazz alongside John McLaughlin. She has performed at leading venues and festivals including WOMAD (UK), The Royal Albert Hall, and The National Folk Festival (Australia). Faith is also the subject of an award-winning documentary that opened and won the Al Jazeera Documentary Film Festival in Sarajevo.

Lucien Caceres, based in Montreux, Switzerland, is a singer and guitarist whose style blends Gypsy Jazz, Latin American traditions, and Balkan influences. Singing in French and Latin American Spanish, his music is shaped by a deep love of spontaneity, acoustic textures, and improvisation.

Viljo Busch grew up surrounded by diverse musical traditions in Sweden and has studied and performed across Europe. He developed a particular focus on the traditional styles of Transylvania and trained with the legendary Taraf de Haidouks in Romania. He has collaborated with renowned artists including jazz accordionist Richard Galliano.

Joining them today will be Antoine Maes on double bass from Brussels.

Together, Härva weaves their individual influences into a rich, dynamic sound — with violin, guitar, accordion, tabor pipe, and voice. Their performances explore joyful Romanian dances, heartfelt Roma songs, Swedish vocal harmonies, Breton-inspired Geamparalele, Serbian Kolo, and the virtuosic swing of Romanian jazz masters like Ionica Minune.

Green Note Profile Pic

Description

Green Note was founded by two friends and passionate music lovers who wanted to create their ideal place to hang out in London...

Our dream was to create a place where we could share music that we loved – somewhere with a laid back, intimate and friendly atmosphere. Becoming friends in our school days, the seed for our idea was planted many years ago. After lots of hard work, many ups and downs, and learning more than we ever could have imagined along the way, our dream became a reality when Green Note opened its doors in the Summer of 2005. Now in our fourteenth year, we have established a reputation as one of London’s best spots for roots, world and acoustic music, and we’re constantly astonished by the wealth of incredible musicians who grace our stage. We’re really proud of what we have created, and happy to be able to share it with you.
